Privacy
We keep as little as we can.
Last changed October 31, 2026 (how to reach us, under Questions; the banner ad, under Advertising).
No accounts, no email, no tracking cookies
There are no sign-ups, no email addresses and no analytics services. Fonts and pictures are served from this site. The only outside script is the one banner ad from adengine.us on the public pages, described under Advertising; it also counts one page view per page as a daily total.
The Risk Check
What you tick travels only in the page address and is not saved.
Your plan
A plan is stored as one sealed block, encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with a key that comes from your private link. Our database holds a fingerprint of the link, the sealed block and the dates it was made, changed and last opened. Without the link, nobody, including us, can read the plan from the database or from backups. Your browser keeps the link in a cookie for up to 400 days so the plan opens again; “Leave this browser” removes it. Deleting a plan removes it at once. Copies inside database backups are sealed the same way and age out (nightly backups are kept for 14 days).
Help lines
Calls and messages to the help lines go straight to those organisations. We do not see them.
Server records
To stop abuse we count requests per connection per hour, keyed by a salted hash of the address, and delete the counts after two days. The web server keeps standard access logs that the host rotates.
Advertising
Since October 17, 2026 the public pages (home, the Risk Check form, Pricing, Sources and About) show one banner ad from AdEngine (adengine.us), the small ad network run by WeldonPC, the company behind this site. For now the ads are for WeldonPC’s own services. Get help now, your plan and everything printed from it, the paper forms, Risk Check answers, this page, the terms and error pages show no banner and load nothing from adengine.us.
To show an ad, your browser loads a script from adengine.us, asks it for one banner, loads the banner image, and reports once that the page was viewed and once that the banner was shown. Like any website, adengine.us receives your IP address, your browser type and the address of this site with those requests (the site’s address only, not the page’s).
- No cookies, no profile. AdEngine sets no cookies, gives you no ID and does not track you from site to site.
- How your IP address is used. adengine.us looks up the approximate city for your IP address in a location database kept on its own server (nothing is sent to anyone else), so that ads meant for one area are shown only there. It also uses the address to count each ad view or click only once and to leave out robots and WeldonPC’s own office traffic. The address is not stored with the counts; the temporary entries made from it expire within six hours and are cleared from the server within two days.
- What is kept. Daily totals only: page views for this site, and views and clicks for each ad. The adengine.us web server also keeps a standard access log (IP address, time, address requested, referring site, browser) for security; it is deleted on a rolling schedule.
- Clicking an ad passes through adengine.us, which counts the click, and then opens the advertiser’s site, which has its own privacy policy.
- Nothing about you is sold or shared.
Quick exit
Quick exit replaces this page with weather.gov so the Back button does not return here. It cannot erase your browser history; a private or incognito window leaves less behind.
Questions
To ask what is kept, contact WeldonPC, the company that runs StopViolence.us. Please do not send details of incidents or the names of people involved. It is not a crisis line: if someone is in danger, call 911; for someone to talk to, see Get help now.
